About This Event

For The Road to Success, we're bringing together two absolute forces of nature together for our WiSE launch! Christy Laurence (Plann) and SJ Kurtini (Tinybeans), to share the stories behind their success.

Christy bootstrapped Plann to 3 million users before its acquisition by Linktree, while SJ co-founded Tinybeans and helped take the company public on the ASX. Both have built businesses that reached remarkable milestones, but getting there takes a lot more than a good idea.

We'll get into the decisions that shaped their journeys, the challenges they faced along the way, what they'd do differently, and the lessons they've picked up from building businesses from the ground up.

Event Format ⏰

5:30 pm - 6:00 pm | Arrival + Mingle

6:00 pm - 7:30 pm | Session

7:30 pm - 8:30 pm | More Mingling

Speakers 🎀

Christy Laurence | Founder of Plann (acquired by Linktree) + Thanks a Cookie

Christy is the award-winning founder of Plann, a social media planning tool she bootstrapped to 3 million users before its acquisition by Linktree. Featured by Apple, Vogue and TechCrunch, Christy is known for her creative approach to product-led growth and building delightful user experiences. She's now working on Thanks-a-Cookie, a new tool for Slack, alongside a number of other projects.

SJ Kurtini | Co-founder of Tinybeans + Pitch Slap

SJ co-founded Tinybeans, once described by New York Magazine as β€œthe most loving space on the internet”, and became one of a handful of female founders to take a tech company public on the ASX. Today, she helps founders and leadership teams sharpen their positioning, simplify their messaging and communicate what makes their businesses valuable.
