About This Event
Cybercrime is common in Australia but often misunderstood and underreported, particularly when it becomes personal, targeted and sustained. This Sydney conversation examines the Cybercrime Victimisation in Australia report, including the disproportionate harm women can experience through technology-facilitated abuse.
Hosted by Sekuro, the event brings together perspectives from cybersecurity, policy and lived experience. It includes networking, a panel discussion, audience Q&A and light refreshments.
Discussion themes

- Gendered harm, including coercive control, stalking, image-based abuse and sexual extortion

- Policing, legal pathways, reporting systems and platform accountability
