Matt Pocock skills - Workshop 2

Build on the first Perth AI session with a hands-on workshop on Matt Pocock’s agentic engineering skills workflow. Rafael and Raj will cover practical ways to use an AI coding assistant as a more rigorous engineering collaborator, including Socratic design review, test-driven development enforcement and architecture improvements.

Come prepared to work through the workflow on your own machine.

What to bring

• A laptop for the hands-on activities
• An AI coding agent installed and configured, such as Claude Code or another agent that supports skill invocation

Complete before you arrive

To avoid setup delays, please prepare a test repository and complete the required setup:

1. Install Matt Pocock’s skills package in your environment or test repository.
   • For Claude Code, use claude plugins install mattpocock-skills or /plugin install mattpocock-skills.
   • Alternatively, use npx skills@latest add mattpocock/skills.
2. In your test repository, run /setup-matt-pocock-skills to set up the tracking and context files.

If you attended Part 1, you may also bring questions or code snippets from your own experiments.
