Fridays @ UTS Startups: Confessions with Andonis Sakatis

How AI is changing getting from Zero to One: can systems replace founder luck? This Friday, Andonis Sakatis of Repeat Builders tells us what building it was really like: the wins, the wrong turns and what he would do differently.

Fridays @ UTS Startups brings founders, builders and curious minds together for conversations about entrepreneurship, ideas and what it really takes to build something from the ground up.

Andonis builds startups for a living. We will ask whether a system can do what founder luck usually does: why so many startups fail in their earliest stage, how venture building is designed to solve that, and how AI is changing what it takes to go from zero to one.

Meet Andonis

Andonis Sakatis is Founder & CEO of Repeat Builders, a venture builder. He studied Computer Engineering at Imperial College London (first-class honours), then spent 13 years in financial markets at quantitative trading firms including GSA Capital, where he was a founding team member in building and spinning out XTX Markets. After moving to Australia in 2017 he founded Zenify, whose products became Amazon best sellers, and he has invested in early-stage startups since 2014.

What to expect

A candid conversation about how venture building works, why early-stage startups fail and what Andonis has learned along the way. Bring your questions for the audience Q&A.
