About This Event
Digital identity is increasingly shaping immigration processes, creating practical questions around trust, security, data sovereignty and fraud. This Canberra workshop uses immigration as a case study while welcoming people interested in digital identity more broadly, in Australia and internationally.
What the workshop will explore
- How digital identity can help build trust between users and service providers
- Balancing faster government processing with security considerations
- Data sovereignty for individual applicants and governments
- Approaches to reducing fraud without introducing new risks for individuals
- Establishing trust, verifying claims, connecting ecosystems and supporting user-controlled identity
- The wider civic implications of digital identity
Who it’s for
The session invites collaborative discussion among people from the public sector, industry and non-government agencies, as well as others with an interest in digital identity.
