About This Event
AI is already shaping education, often before policies have caught up. This Sydney panel discussion considers what that means for learning, teaching and decision-making across the education system.
The Sydney Policy Lab is convening University of Sydney contributors with varied academic perspectives for an exchange on the opportunities and risks of AI in education. The discussion will examine how educators and policymakers can respond as AI use becomes more widespread.
The conversation will explore
- What human learning may look like in an age of machine learning
- The evidence on how people learn, and its implications for education policy and practice
- What AI use in education should be permitted or protected
- How teachers, education systems and policymakers can support genuine learning while building AI capability
Format
- Panel discussion
- Q&A to follow
Join the conversation at the RD Watt Building in Camperdown.
