About This Event
Explore how Claude Code can help turn an idea for a website, tool or app into a project using plain English. This relaxed, hands-on Adelaide workshop is designed for people who are curious to try it, including complete beginners.
What you’ll do
- Watch a start-to-finish Claude Code walkthrough
- Learn how to connect Claude with apps you already use, with Elle from Affinda
- Work on your own project with help available in the room
Who it’s for
Students, developers and people who have never written code are all welcome. The session is for anyone who can describe an idea they would like to build.
Before you come
Bring a laptop. After your place is confirmed, you’ll receive a short setup guide for two free accounts — GitHub and Cloudflare — and for installing Claude Code. The setup takes about 15 minutes. If you need a hand, arrive early and the hosts can help.
Venue and registration
The workshop will be held in the CE Napier 102 Lecture Room at Adelaide University City Campus East, on the corner of North Terrace and Frome Road. Food and drinks are provided.
Places are limited, free, and registration requires host approval. Register here.
Hosted by Jack McNicol, an Anthropic community ambassador, and Elle Dunbar, Staff Product Engineer at Affinda.
Registration conditions
- Registration requires approval.
