About This Event

94% of philanthropic funding goes to the largest 10% of NFPs, so early-stage, innovative organisations are too often overlooked. We're working to change that.

Come and hear three high-potential NFPs pitch live for your backing. Each has been scouted, vetted and prepped by our 10xer Program volunteers, the most promising early-stage NFPs in NSW, taking on some of our most complex social challenges.

Some of the biggest barriers people face are the ones the rest of us don't see. Poor vision that makes it harder to find work or fill in a form. Systems built to support young people that quietly leave them behind. Young Australians struggling with their mental health, and the mates around them who don't know how to help.

Join us on Thursday 5 November for a night of live pitches. You'll hear all three NFPs make their case, put your donation where you believe it'll go furthest, and leave having met great people and made a real difference together.

  • Eyes of Hope was founded by three friends working across optometry, medicine and ophthalmology who kept meeting people who needed eye care but couldn’t access it. Its volunteer-led mobile clinic brings free eye tests, prescription glasses and specialist referrals directly to people experiencing homelessness, removing barriers including cost, transport, Medicare eligibility and the need for a fixed address.

  • System 2 runs trials by pairing behavioural science and systems thinking with people with lived experience to find high-leverage points in the systems that shape young people's lives. System2 find the pressure points in employment services, access to careers, youth mental health, and early childhood education and care.

  • ALLKND is the mental health movement built for and by young Aussies. Their programs include Cause Club, connecting young people to volunteering, and a peer-to-peer mental health first aid certificate. Their Good Mate Training gives 15–24-year-olds the skills to recognise when a friend is struggling, start the conversation and connect them with help.

Amplify your impact through collective giving

Donate $100 into the pool and vote on the night for the NFP you want to back. Everyone in the room gives, and collectively we make a difference for early-stage NFPs.

How it works:

  • Receive two $50 tokens on arrival in return for your $100 donation
  • Listen to 3 innovative NFPs pitch for 5 minutes each
  • Unpack the business model with questions from the Sharks and audience
  • Vote
